Angelo State University uses Concourse, an online syllabus system that provides a common organization of course information. Concourse is integrated within Blackboard for easy access and helps maintain consistent, up-to-date, accessible syllabi. Students will have access to your course syllabus the Friday before your course begins.
Course Syllabi and CV are also publicly available on the Courses & Faculty website.
Every syllabus at Angelo State is required to include certain statements per our university operating policies. All required statements have already been included in your Concourse template for you.
The syllabus must contain the following items:
- Course outline, including each major assignment and examination
- Required or recommended reading
- Expected learning outcomes from the course
- Methods of assessing those outcomes
- Criteria for grade determination
- Date and time of the final examination (if applicable)
- Office hours and/or hours of outside-of-class contact
