Widgets
Web Style Guide
In LiveWhale, widgets are objects that display dynamic content from the CMS, such as Events, Stories, and Profiles.
Widgets can be created by LiveWhale admins for just about any need, but some “global” widgets have been created that can easily be dropped on any page.
To add a widget to a page:
- Click “Insert” and then “Widget”.
- Use the search box and filters to find the widget you would like to add.
- Select a widget to preview it, and customize select settings.
- Click “Insert this widget” to add the widget to your page.
Widget Placeholders
Widget content does not display during page editing. The widget is represented with a blue placeholder box. Double-click the placeholder to customize the widget.
Example of what a widget looks like while editing:
When viewing saved pages, widget placeholders are replaced with the dynamic content that they are configured to display.
