Content with Sidebar

Web Style Guide

By default, the layout of this site includes a single column of content that has a maximum width of 680px.

The Content with Sidebar content layout can be added to a page in order to create a right sidebar in addition to the main column. Within this block, the main column will still have a maximum width of 680px. The sidebar, styled with a light gray background, takes up the rest of the space up to a total maximum width of 1200px. At mobile sizes, below 700px, the sidebar will appear above the main column.

This page and the other pages in this guide use the Content with Sidebar block for layout.

This block should be used sparingly for things like guides and handbooks. Most pages should use combinations of other blocks discussed in this guide.

Note

Some other blocks can be nested inside this layout, but the Wide Block, and other blocks that are naturally wide, cannot be placed inside this block.
