Web Style Guide
Fonts
The Angelo State website uses the font, Barlow, for all text. Regular, Italic, and Bold versions are available. Text colors are designated in the site’s stylesheet, and were chosen to have appropriate contrast in all situations. Fonts and colors are set automatically and cannot be changed in the text editor.
Text Editing
LiveWhale uses a familiar text editor that provides an editing experience similar to that of a Word Processor. Users can type in any editable region of a webpage and choose from the following options in the LiveWhale toolbar:
- Basic Text Formatting
- Bold - use to emphasize text within a paragraph.
- Italic - use sparingly to give text less emphasis than bold.
- Underline - should never be used to emphasize text, as underlined text can be confused with a link.
- Alignment - Left alignment is the default and should rarely be changed. Center alignment is acceptable in some cases, but right alignment should never be used.
