These teams are actual registered student organizations that are overseen by the Club Sports Council and compete in officially sanctioned leagues, tournaments and events. The teams may also receive funding support from the university for uniforms, travel, etc.
The Club Sports Council reviews and makes recommendations to the coordinator for student organizations and activities concerning requests for club sports funding received from registered student organizations who fall under the club sports category. In addition, the Club Sports Council makes recommendations for changes to funding operating procedures and the SOLF budget.
The Club Sports Council is comprised of representatives from club sports and is chaired by the coordinator for student organizations and activities.
The Club Sports Council (CSC) reviews and makes recommendations to the coordinator for student organizations and activities concerning requests for funding received from club sports. The CSC is comprised of representatives from club sports, the assistant director of intramural sports and camps, and the coordinator for student organizations and activities (chair).
The Club Sports Funding program is designed to assist club sports in the following areas:
Sponsoring travel to tournaments/matches/games that directly relate to a club sports competitive season.
Participating in endeavors that contribute to the leadership or professional development of organization members.
After a club sport has received an approved yearly budget, a travel packet is due two weeks prior to when funding is needed. The majority of travel forms are available via the Travel Office.
Upon returning from a trip, club sports organizations have two weeks to submit a Student Travel Expense Report, appropriate receipts and remaining funds.
