The President’s Circle consists of alumni, faculty, staff, community members, business leaders and friends of ASU. Your membership provides discretionary funds that are critical for Angelo State to react immediately to challenges and opportunities while continuing to provide an excellent education.

These unrestricted funds are a powerful form of private support because they allow the university to allocate funding where significant and often time-sensitive needs are greatest. Here are just a few examples.
Mariachi Los Pastores
Since its inception in fall 2022, the ensemble has more than tripled in the number of participating students. Mariachi Los Pastores continues to amaze crowds of all sizes with their undeniable talent and passion for sharing a celebration of culture. In addition to honing their craft, their goal is to inspire other students by opening their eyes to one of Mexico’s most beautiful art forms, as well as to enlighten the community on the importance of the arts in education.
ASU Rodeo Team Scholarships
The newly established ASU Rodeo Team has flourished with outstanding membership growth in both the men’s and women’s squads since 2023. Rodeo is a lifestyle in West Texas, and our rodeo student-athletes bring together the Ram Family and the San Angelo community in a whole new way. With the assistance of generous public and private donations, we’re able to provide scholarships specifically for our rodeo student-athletes, as well as furnish them with an elite practice facility and modern equipment.
President’s Leadership Academy
The President’s Academy for Life-Long Leaders develops ASU students, faculty and staff to lead through the many challenges inherent in our increasingly complex world. Aligned with our university mission and vision, the academy programs prepare their participants to assume positions of great responsibility in their respective communities. Programs for both individuals and teams are available that include in-person training sessions, webinars, podcasts and suggested readings.
