Student Achievement Data
Angelo State University evaluates success with respect to student achievement as appropriate to the institution’s educational mission and in accordance with requirements established by the state of Texas.
As a public institution of higher education in Texas, ASU is required to report on institutional performance measures annually. A summary of key student performance data and ASU’s goals for student achievement are provided below.
Retention, Graduation and Course Completion
Retention, graduation rates and course completion rates are all primary indicators of student success. Angelo State tracks first and second year retention and four and six year graduation rates of its first time freshmen students. Course completion rates are figured using the total number of semester credit hours for which students are enrolled on the last day of the semester divided by the number of semester credit hours for which students were enrolled on the census day for both long semesters and summer sessions.
