Outside Scholarships
Outside Agency Scholarship Searches
ASU encourages you to continue your scholarship search through unaffiliated organizations online. Below are examples of the types of organizations that may have scholarships for students.
Tips And Tricks
- Look for scholarships at professional organizations for your career field.
- Use a professional sounding email.
- Spend an hour a day on scholarship applications.
- Reuse references/recommendations, résumés and essays.
- Refrain from explaining the financial burden of college. Instead, discuss how earning a degree will enhance your future.
Scholarship and Financial Aid Scams
Review the Federal Trade Commission’s Consumer Information webpage for more information about recognizing and reporting scholarship scams.
Residual Refunds
All financial aid and scholarships will be applied toward your student bill. If you receive financial aid and scholarships in excess of your bill, you will be refunded via your ASU OneCard.
