TSgt Sarah Barrera

Tech Sergeant Sarah E. Barrera serves as an ROTC Training Instructor at Angelo State University Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 847. In this role she serves as an enlisted advisor to the Detachment commander on Cadet’s professional development, academics, military training, and discipline. Additionally, she educates cadets on Department of Air Force curriculum, and manages cadet life cycles by overseeing administrative programs.

Tech Sergeant Barrera entered the Air Force in April 2012 as an Aircraft Fuel Systems Apprentice where she worked on four air frames; maintaining fuel tanks and external fuel tanks, removed, repaired, and installed fuel system components, and was part of the Hydrazine response team. In 2017 Tech Sergeant Barrera retrained into the Paralegal career field and then became the Vandenberg Victims’ Paralegal in 2021 where she was responsible for the management and administration of the office, community outreach, comprehensive victim response in tandem with the installation’s Family Advocacy and the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Programs, and teamed client representation throughout the military justice process.
