ASU Bass Anglers Second at Oak Creek

June 13, 2012

Two members of Angelo State University’s Bass Anglers club took second place in a West Texas Team Trail (WTTT) fishing tournament on June 10 at Oak Creek Reservoir just outside of Blackwell.

Josh Seale and Ryan Easterly caught five bass weighing a total of 16.63 pounds for the runner-up spot and a $415 purse, which will go to the Bass Anglers club fund.  This marks the fourth time this spring that ASU anglers have placed at a tournament.  Their total prize money contributed to the club is now $3,170.

The Bass Anglers club is an ASU student organization and is part of the ASU Center for Student Involvement’s Club Sports Council, which helps fund its tournament entries.  Next up for club members is the WTTT Championship June 23-24 at O.H. Ivie Reservoir.

Now in its fifth season, WTTT was established by Tommy Hagler of Hagler Fishing Opportunities L.L.C. in Abilene.  More information is available online at www.westtexasteamtrail.com.
