    December 19, 2024 - Dr. Katie Lyman, previously the dean of health occupations and healthcare simulation at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has been appointed as the dean of Angelo State University’s Archer College of Health and Human Services, effective April 1, 2025.

    October 17, 2024 - Angelo State University has received a $500,000 gift from noted local philanthropist and arts enthusiast Elta Joyce McAfee to help establish the new Angelo State Athletics Endowment, one of the top priorities of ASU’s ongoing “Leading the Charge” capital campaign.

  • ASU Earns National Cybersecurity Academic Excellence Designation

    September 19, 2024 - Angelo State University has been designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) by the National Security Agency (NSA) and will retain the designation at least through the 2029 academic year.

  • ASU Wins Grant to Expand International Studies Program

    September 9, 2024 - Angelo State University has been awarded a $20,000 Strategic Internationalization Grant from the Texas International Education Consortium (TIEC) for a new project to develop international studies partnerships with universities in Central and South America.
