Nursing FNP Graduates Post 100% Pass Rate on Certification Exams

The Angelo State Department of Nursing’s most recent group of graduates of the Family Nurse Practitioner master’s degree and certificate programs have posted a perfect passing rate on their FNP certification exams.
In its 2024 cohort of graduates, the ASU Nursing Department had 11 students earn a Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner (M.S.N.-FNP) degree and four students earn a FNP Certificate.
Each of the graduates then completed a FNP certification exam through either the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) Certification Board or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) – and 100% of them passed to earn their FNP credentials.
The 11 M.S.N.-FNP graduates who passed their certification exams were:
- Cameron Boyers of Paradise
- Clara Carter of San Angelo
- Cristina Herrera-Garcia of McAllen
- Tiffany Lurati of San Antonio
- Shelby McIntyre of San Angelo
- Samuel Musonera of Abilene
- Arianna Pacheco of Fort Stockton
- Natalie Sosa of San Angelo
- Ana Taylor of San Angelo
- Samantha Thomas of Cisco
- Jessica Vance of Roscommon, Michigan
The four FNP Certificate graduates who passed their certification exams were:
- Elva Berryhill of Seminole
- Ruby Compton of San Angelo
- Jennifer Price-Fierro of San Angelo
- Stephanie Williams of San Angelo
The 2023 national average pass rate on the AANP exam was 74%, and the national pass rate on the ANCC exam was 85%. ASU annually posts a combined pass rate around 94%.
