Contest Information

Contest Theme

The history and legacy of World War II, either broadly considered or dealing with a specific element of the war.

Eligible Media

Students can enter collages, photos and digital media, as well as prints, paintings and drawings in a variety of styles (pastel, acrylic, watercolor, graphite, chalk, etc.).

Prizes

  • First Place: $250
  • Second Place: $150
  • Honorable Mention: $100

Deadline

Friday, Sept. 19, at 11:59 p.m.

Contest Rules

  • There are no entry fees.
  • Only one submission per student is allowed.
  • Submissions must directly engage the theme to be eligible for the cash prizes.
  • Submissions must also include a 250-500-word statement explaining how the artwork relates to the Aftermaths theme.
  • Submissions that include inappropriate language, symbols or images will be disqualified.
  • The artwork must be an original piece created by the student who submits it.
  • Students are responsible for photographing their artwork for the contest.
  • Students should identify the medium, size and title of their piece.
  • Students must confirm that they have read and understood the contest guidelines.
