The competition is co-coordinated between the ASU Small Business Development Center and the Norris-Vincent College of Business. BizPitch provides student learning opportunities through interaction with ASU SBDC business advisors and ASU alumni who are successful in business.
The BizPitch Competition is hosted each Spring. The competition is open to currently enrolled students of Angelo State University.
Finalists (individuals or up to a four-person team) will be selected from the applications received. The finalists will make a live in-person eight-minute presentation to a team of judges who are ASU alum and successful in business. The judges will ask questions of each finalist for five minutes. Prizes will be awarded the same evening.

BizPitch Winners
Helm AV Services won first place in the 2024 BizPitch Competition.
The BizPitch student competition is open to currently enrolled Angelo State University students who are taking six hours or more as an undergraduate student or three hours or more as a graduate student.
Up to four-person teams are allowed. Teams are encouraged but not required. BizPitch is open to students in all academic disciplines.
Entries must be startup ideas or startup ventures (not in business yet, or in business less than one year) and may not have generated over $15,000 in revenue at the time of application.
Previous years’ BizPitch 1st place winners are not eligible.

Five-minute video (high production value is not necessary - video can be shot with a camera phone)

Teams should carefully assess intellectual property considerations and the proprietary nature of their presentation materials, as the final BizPitch presentation will be open to the public. Students retain intellectual property rights to the materials submitted and presented. Students are responsible for all taxes related to awards.
