Strategic Planning Council
Membership
Because strategic planning has been established by the President as the driving force behind the university’s efforts in meeting its goals, managing its budgets, and directing its resources, the Strategic Planning Council is a key component in achieving ongoing institutional success.
Representatives from each of the following University entities will comprise the Council’s membership. Members will report back to their specified areas regarding plan changes and progress.

Responsibilities
The ASU Strategic Planning Council
- Establishes and reviews strategies in support of Master Goals/Plans.
- Sets and monitors Key Performance Indicators and strategic priorities for Master Plan.
- Considers work of ad hoc committees, external mandates within the context of institutional priorities and planning; makes recommendations to the president for strategic priorities for future budget cycles, based on its annual living document review (environmental scan), progress on key performance indicators, institutional data, strategic planning priorities, mandates from external entities (e.g. accrediting agencies, the Texas Tech University System, the State of Texas), and the work of ad hoc committees (e.g. Campus Task Forces, University Committees).
