About the Program
- Courses are delivered totally online in eight-week terms (five terms per academic year).
- You will also work with a local superintendent in your area, and a practicum experience is also required.
- Our department is accredited by the Texas Education Agency.

Admission Requirements
Transcripts from baccalaureate degree awarding university or college (Upload unofficial transcripts, with the exception of Angelo State University transcripts, for application evaluation purposes using the Graduate Studies Documents for Submission form.)
Note: The GRE is NOT required for admission.

Superintendent Certification Program Admission Screening
As part of the Educator Preparation Program (EPP) admission process, this program includes a separate screening assessment as required by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Prerequisites
- Master’s degree from an accredited university
- Texas School Principal Certification
- At least a 2.75 overall undergraduate GPA - or at least a 2.75 GPA in the last 60 hours of your degree
Credit Requirements
This program consists of 15 credit hours. That means you only have to complete five courses to prepare for the TExES Superintendent exam.

- EDCT 6312: Superintendent Practicum in Education or EDCT 6313: Superintendent Internship
