Close-Knit Community
Our program prides itself on relationships. Our classes (other than ensembles) typically have 20 students per class, allowing faculty and students to interact closely and get to know one another. Not only will you get to know other aspiring musicians in class, but also through our multiple ensembles and student organizations, allowing you to build an extensive support system.
Performance Opportunities
We offer over 20 different ensembles that range from the premier concert ensembles of Concert Chorale, Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble to smaller ensembles of like instruments. Additional highlights include experiences in Basketball Band, Chamber Singers, Jazz, Marching Band, Mariachi, Opera and various string ensembles.
Music-Specific Scholarships
Our program boasts a healthy number of scholarships. Every student who participates in a large ensemble (Concert Chorale, Ram Band, Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble) receives a participation award, regardless of major! Additionally, music majors may apply for competitive scholarships in the arts.
