Prerequisites

Qualified applicants will indicate professional and educational interests and goals aligned with the pillars of transformative leadership  (Inspire, Transform, Advocate). They will show evidence of leadership or service potential for their related field. Previous scholarly activities will include independent scholarly work, presentations, publications, and/or a capacity for doctoral research and completion of a dissertation.

Admission Requirements for Superintendent Option

Students seeking admission into the Ed.D. in Transformative Leadership with Superintendent option must also apply and meet the requirements for the Superintendent Certification Program. In addition to an application to the Educator Preparation Program, Texas Education Agency (TEA) requires screening prior to admission, including a professional presentation and philosophy statement

Application Deadlines

These deadlines are for application only. Financial Aid and Scholarships may have their deadlines.

The Transformative Leadership Ed.D. program at Angelo State University admits students each Summer.

Priority Review Deadline is January 31.

Applications received after the priority review period will be considered based on the availability of space remaining in the class.

Applications remaining incomplete after the deadline will risk not being reviewed for admission.

The yearly application is available on August 1, and you must start our program in the Summer semester.
