Each Tuesday after the Thanksgiving break, the Angelo State and San Angelo communities come together to celebrate the upcoming holidays in classic Ram Fam style.

Held for years in the midst of the Memorial Oak Grove, the tree lighting event now takes place in front of the Mayer Museum. It has also expanded over the years and now features performances by the ASU Symphony Orchestra, Chorale and Mariachi Los Pastores, along with synthetic ice skating rinks, bounce houses, and stations for decorating ornaments, greeting cards and cookies. Attendees can also enjoy photo opportunities with Santa and ASU mascots Roscoe and Bella, as well as complimentary refreshments.

As the sun sets, the holiday spirit comes alive in the crowd, filling the air with joy as the Christmas tree lights up beautifully. It remains on display, along with lights strung on the trees throughout the Memorial Oak Grove, for everyone to enjoy throughout the holiday season!
