Experience
Kevin Lambert is Professor of Music at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. Prior to his time at ASU, he served as Director of Choral Activities and Chair of the Department of Music at The University of Tennessee at Martin. He also taught at the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota and in public schools in Arizona and California
He received the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Choral Literature and Performance from the University of Colorado, Boulder, the Master of Music degree in Choral Performance from California State University, Fullerton, and the Bachelor of Music Education degree from Northern Arizona University.
He is the founder and director of the San Angelo Chamber Singers. He wrote Watch, Listen, and Learn, an innovative music appreciation web-based textbook published by Kendall Hunt. He serves as Director of Music Ministries at Sierra Vista United Methodist Church in San Angelo. Past accomplishments include conducting such major works as the Brahms Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, and the Mozart Requiem. He studied voice with noted voice teachers Barbara Doscher at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and Jane Paul at California State University, Fullerton. He was a Regional Finalist in the Upper Midwest Division of the Metropolitan Opera Auditions and sang at the International Music Festival in Hirosaki, Japan.
