What advice would you give students about choosing a university?
I would encourage students to find a college that makes them feel welcome and checks all the boxes they are wanting in a college. A student should also take into consideration affordability and the scholarships offered by the colleges they are looking into.
Why did you decide to attend ASU?
I honestly started at Angelo State because it was the closest college to where I was living. I soon learned that Angelo State was much more than my hometown college. I felt so welcome when I was on campus, and everyone was so helpful. You really begin to feel like a part of a family when you attend school here, and that will continue well after you graduate.
What is your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is the Porter Henderson Library. They have quiet places to study and many places to meet up with friends for a study group. There is also so many resources you can utilize.
What do you like about being an admissions counselor?
When I was a senior is high school, I had no idea where I wanted to go or what I wanted to do. Being an admissions counselor gives me the opportunity to not only help students that were in the same place that I was, but showcase why Angelo State is such a great choice.
