Radiant Light Yoga LLC SBDC Success Story

Economic Impact

  • Business Expansion
  • Jobs Retained: 1

Emily Kulchar has been a yoga instructor for several years and previously owned her own studio in another state. When her husband was transferred to San Angelo by the military, she decided she would open up a new studio.

Not being familiar with the nuances of how to set up a business in Texas, she sought out the services of the SBDC, where she was assigned to work with James Leavelle, senior certified business advisor. He worked with her to help establish her Limited Liability Company (LLC) and to file for her EIN and Sales & Use Tax Permit. He provided feedback that aided her in choosing a location for her studio and answered a number of thoughtful questions. She has opened her studio and is very appreciative of the assistance she received from the SBDC.

“James was incredibly helpful. I am an elementary school teacher, turned stay-at-home mom, turned yoga teacher and now turned studio owner. I knew very little, and James ‘held my hand’ along the way. This started as an idea, and now Radiant Light Yoga is a reality.”
