Furrh will then close the exhibit will an Artist’s Talk and reception at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 7 in Room 101 of the EFA Building.
Furrh’s artworks focus on representations and interrogations of the substance of chaos and order. Viewers will encounter an investigation of the exterior surfaces of our homes and lives, and visual metaphors of the detritus and over-crowding of the modern technological society that tend to disconnect people from nature and human interaction. The suburban rooftop, the decayed side of a barn and the detritus after a storm all inspire the conceptual outcomes.
