The Robert A. Welch Departmental Grant Scholarships are designed to offset tuition and fees for Chemistry & Biochemistry majors enrolling undergraduate research (CHEM 4x91) under the mentoring of a Chemistry Faculty member. Current distributions range from $1000 - $2000 for research conducted during the long semesters and summer terms. In addition to the student scholarships, the Welch Departmental Grant also provides for chemicals, equipment, and the purchase of small instruments in order to support research activities.

Dr. Michael J. Carlo Chemistry Scholarship
This scholarship is provided to deserving student majoring in Chemistry
Delbert Tarter
This scholarship is provided to deserving students majoring in Chemistry. Usually, one scholarship is awarded per year.
Harold W. Peterson
Full-time student, GPA 3.0 or higher, and demonstrate financial need. Preference earning a degree in Chemistry.
Elizabeth Ann H. Alexander Scholarship
This scholarship is provided to full-time students, GPA 3.0 or higher, and demonstrate a financial need. Students majoring in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, and Physics are eligible.
San Angelo Community Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship is awarded annually to a graduate of a Texas high school who is a junior or senior at ASU majoring in any medical or medically related field.
