LIFT (Leaders in Food Technology)

LIFT (Leaders in Food Technology) is a summer program held on ASU campus which gives attendees a sneak peak at college life and the world of Agriculture and Food Science Research!

LIFT participants get to investigate the science of modern meat and food production and safety. This competitive program, held the summer before your freshman year in college, will give attendees a preview of campus life with programs covering a variety of topics including student organizations, scholarship opportunities and tours of campus to help line out your schedule for the fall. Much of the week will involve you in hands-on research experiences at out Food Safety and Product Development Laboratory where you will be involved in making your very own food product. The LIFT program is fully-funded competitive program and each selected participant will be able to participate in the program at no cost to them. Lodging and meals are covered for each selected student.

While attending LIFT, students will stay in ASU’s newest dorms, Plaza Verde! More Information on facilities that also serve as the housing for the Department of Agriculture’s Living Learning Community!
