Angelo State University and Shannon Clinic are partners in student health.

ASU Students have access to unlimited visits to all Shannon Urgent Care locations for basic medical care at no additional cost. The primary campus location is at 2237 S. Jackson St.

Shannon on Demand

Shannon On Demand offers immediate access to healthcare providers from your mobile device or computer for minor medical needs, 24/7, without an appointment.

Nurse Help Line

The Shannon Nurse Help Line is available to ASU students 24/7. Call 325-481-2002 and identify yourself as an ASU student to be connected with one of our qualified nurses.

Crisis HelpLine

Call the ASU Crisis HelpLine at 325-486-6345 to speak with a counselor who can help and get you connected with ASU services.

Counseling Services

ASU Counseling Services provides limited short-term therapy to currently enrolled students who have paid the Medical Services Fee.

Current Students
All ASU students who are registered and attending classes pay the Medical Services Fee and have access to services offered through the campus clinic.

Distance Students
Out-of-state distance education students have access to telemedicine/teletherapy through mycollegedoctor.com.

Basic clinic services, including the following, are available at no cost to the student:

Basic medical care that can be given within the confines of an exam room (i.e., diagnostics, needed prescriptions written, some treatments)
Some basic laboratory services
Basic X-ray services

The following medical services are not included and are the responsibility of the patient at the time of the service:

Medical care delivered at emergency rooms
Care at Shannon Medical Center (the main hospital)
Referred medical specialists
Prescription drugs

Insurance is not required for an ASU student, who has paid the Medical Services Fee, to receive medical care at the available Shannon Clinic Urgent Care locations.

If a student has insurance, the insurance will be filed, but no co-pays or deductibles will be collected from the student for regular clinic appointments.
