Accreditation of a baccalaureate or master’s social work program by the Council on Social Work Education’s Board of Accreditation indicates that it meets or exceeds criteria for the assessment of program quality evaluated through a peer review process. An accredited program has sufficient resources to meet its mission and goals and the Board of Accreditation has verified that it demonstrates compliance with all sections of the Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards. Accreditation applies to all program sites and program delivery methods of an accredited program. Accreditation provides reasonable assurance about the quality of the program and the competence of students graduating from the program.

NASM, founded in 1924, is an organization of schools, conservatories, colleges and universities with approximately 650 accredited institutional members. It establishes national standards for undergraduate and graduate degrees in music, as well as other credentials.

Degree programs offered in the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance and the Department of Management and Marketing are accredited by AACSB International, the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools. This accreditation indicates that ASU has successfully undergone a rigorous review process conducted by our peers in the business education community, ensuring that we have the resources, credentials and commitment needed to provide students with a first-rate, future-focused business education. Fewer than 6% of the world’s schools offering business degree programs hold AACSB accreditation. Degree programs offered in the Department of Aerospace Studies are not accredited by AACSB.

Annually, pass rates on state certification examinations are examined for continuing accreditation, and all programs are evaluated every five years.
