Physics Roadshow
The Society of Physics Students at Angelo State is an active student organization that centers on physics education and outreach. The organization contacts thousands of students of all ages every year through local civic events. The chief outreach is the group’s annual physics road show.
After the conclusion of the spring semester, about 10 students give up a week of their summer to travel across Texas, as well as to a few out-of-state schools, to present exciting physics demonstrations to more than 1,000 students.
The goal of the trip is to ignite flames of science passion that might produce tomorrow’s brilliant scientists and engineers.
The PIER grant supports this outreach and enables Haliburton to be a direct player in the signage and influence in the physics road show.
