Students: Your ASU Technology Access Account
Overview
Most student technology services at ASU are accessible with your Technology Access Account. It will allow you to access network services in the labs, residence halls, via wireless, and from off campus. This account will also provide you access to RamPort (ASU’s portal). With the Technology Access Account, you will be given an ASU email account that can be used both on and off campus through RamPort.
Getting Your Account
After you apply for admission to the University, you will receive an email at the address provided on your application. This email contains the information needed to setup your ASU User Account. If you have issues locating the email, you can get your user account when you bring your activated ASU OneCard to any general access computer lab. If you are off campus call the Technology Service Center at 325-942-2911 and they will be able to provide you with your account info as well. Be prepared to provide additional information for identification.
Managing Your Password
Your password expires and will need to be changed every 120 days. When choosing your password keep in mind password quality to ensure the security of your personal files and accounts. Students can reset forgotten passwords if they set up recovery options.
For more information about changing or recovering your password, please see our Password Help Article.
For help with your password, you can also come in person to any of the general use labs and present your valid ASU OneCard, or call the Technology Service Center at 325-942-2911. Be prepared to provide additional information for identification.
Change Technology Access Account Name
If you have legally changed your last name or you discover that your name was misspelled in your technology access account user name you can update and correct your username. You can open a Technology Service Center request to make the change.
