What Can You Do With a Student Development and Leadership in Higher Education Degree?
The increasingly high expectations of college students for additional and exceptional services are creating a greater need for contemporary leaders in the non-academic arenas of higher education.
Our graduates can expect to find career opportunities in a variety of settings, from community colleges and research universities to military and community organizations, or to advance into a doctoral program.
Academic Advising Certificate
Earn your Academic Advising Certificate while working towards your degree. Earning your certificate can help start or advance your career as an academic advisor on college or university campuses. You only need five courses to earn your certificate, and those credits also apply towards your M.Ed. degree here at Angelo State.
Connection and Engagement
Our program offers multiple opportunities for you to engage with your faculty and peers. Through coursework, like group activities, interviewing professionals and practitioners in the field, immersing yourself in other cultures, and consistent communication, you will form strong connections with others, allowing you to develop a professional network.
Global Perspective
Our students are able to discover new perceptions and viewpoints alongside peer students at many different types of institutions around the world, including public, private, two-year, four-year, research and liberal arts institutions, as well as Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).
