What Can You Do With a Spanish Degree?
Earning your Spanish degree can help you find work in everything from interpreting and translating, language analysis and teaching Spanish to international relations, publishing, health services and business.
Our graduates have gone on to work in education, psychology, social work, diplomacy, law, business and healthcare.
Department Scholarship Opportunities
Several scholarships are available specifically to students in the Natalie Zan Ryan Department of English and Modern Languages. Over $28,000 in department-exclusive scholarships were awarded to students for the 2023-24 academic year.
Degree-Enhancing Opportunities
Gain hands-on experience through our student groups on campus. Translating opportunities may also be available with our University Theatre program and our Planetarium. Minors are also available in additional languages, including French, German and Russian.
Networking Opportunities
Join the Spanish Club, where you’ll discuss and learn about the Spanish language and the cultures who use it. Our group meets regularly, and it provides students and faculty an opportunity to benefit from local Hispanic culture and language.
