Social Work B.S.W. Field Education
A key component of Angelo State University’s Bachelors of Social Work (B.S.W.) is the field education experience.
The purpose of field education is to provide opportunities for students to apply the social work knowledge, skills, values, and both cognitive and affective processes learned in the classroom to real-life situations with clients in the field. Students are supervised by a professional social worker or a related-degree individual at the field agency (referred to as the Field Instructor) and by university field faculty, including the Field Education Liaison and the Field Education Director.
