In our immersive counseling psychology master’s program, you’ll gain the knowledge and skills you need in counseling psychology theory, research and evidence-based practice. You will also further develop the professionalism and strong interpersonal skills to work with a varied clientele in the many different mental health settings.
We maintain collaborative relationships with local, regional and statewide healthcare agencies to provide you with hands-on training and networking opportunities. Upon graduation, you will be eligible for licensure by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists and/or Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors.

What Can You Do With a Counseling Psychology Degree?
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that employment opportunities in all types of counseling and other social services are expected to increase dramatically through 2031, adding thousands of new jobs.
Our graduates are prepared for employment in mental health agencies, hospitals and rehabilitation settings, vocational counseling, academic counseling and private practice. You will also be prepared to continue your education in a doctoral program.
