About the Program
- All required courses are delivered 100% online for your convenience. On-campus attendance is not required.
- Your clinical requirements can usually be completed in your city of residence within the state of Texas, provided course objectives are met. Preceptors and clinical sites are subject to approval per course requirements and expected course objectives.
- You will also partner with a faculty member in a variety of practical experiences, including clinical and lab instruction, as well as didactic instruction.
Credit Requirements
This program consists of 12 credit hours. That means you only have to complete four courses to earn your certificate.

While the curriculum is predominantly delivered online, the program necessitates participation in supervised clinical practicums. These required practical experiences are conducted in traditional healthcare facilities and community-based clinical environments. The clinical components of the M.S.N. curriculum can typically be fulfilled within the student’s city of residence and must be completed within the state of Texas under the supervision of a qualified preceptor who meets the graduate nursing program requirements.
