About the Program
- All courses are offered totally online in 8-week terms for your convenience.
- Complete theoretical and practical studies in cybersecurity in courses that cover such topics as cryptology, data mining and cyber vulnerability, among others.
- Learn from faculty who are nationally recognized experts in border and homeland security, terrorism and human rights, cybersecurity, emergency management, and modern law enforcement techniques and training.
Admission Requirements
- Application for Admission
- All college and/or university transcripts
- Essay of no more than 750 words discussing an important issue of homeland security
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree with an overall GPA of at least 2.75, including repeated courses - or a bachelor’s degree with a GPA of at least 3.0 in the last 60 credit hours of undergraduate work
Note: The required GPA may be waived on a case-by-case basis by the department chair.
Credit Requirements
This graduate-level certificate program consists of 12 credit hours. That means you only have to complete four courses to earn your certificate.
Once you earn your certificate, you can also apply the credits toward an online Master of Science in homeland security degree right here at Angelo State.
