Official transcripts

• All transcript(s) from each college/university attended must be sent directly to PTCAS. (Please be aware that the GPA is calculated using all grades, even those on repeated courses.)

GRE (GRE code for ASU PSYCAS is 1478)

• The exam must have been taken within the last five years of submission.
• 145 – Verbal; 145 – Quantitative; 3.5 – Analytical Writing
• GRE scores are not treated as exclusion criteria but are considered in relation to the entire application.
• GRE may be waived due to financial hardship. Please contact the Counseling Psychology Psy.D. Program Director for more information.

TOEFL (if applicable, the TOEFL code for ASU PSYCAS is B515)

Three professional letters of recommendation (at least 2 from academic sources)

Essay

• No more than five pages that speak to the applicant’s background in psychology and personal and professional goals related to doctoral studies.
