Our program offers two specializations: public relations/social media and digital media. A teacher certification option is also available. No matter which specialization you choose, our coursework is a mix of theoretical and practical application, helping prepare you for an exciting and fast-paced career.

What Can You Do With a Communication Degree?
Earning your ASU communication degree will open doors for you into a wide variety of career fields, or prepare you for graduate school.
Our graduates can expect to find work as communications consultants, teachers, social media managers and content creators, and in public relations, advertising, corporate video production and the broadcast industry.
On-Campus Media Outlets
Gain hands-on experience in our on-campus Ram TV station, Ram TV Sports Broadcasting program, Ram Radio internet radio station and/or Ram Page student newspaper. You can also intern at local companies, nonprofit agencies, media outlets, production companies and advertising agencies.
Networking Opportunities
Network with media professionals at campus, state and regional seminars. You can also study media while you enjoy European culture in our summer study abroad program.
Research Opportunities
Explore the many aspects of print, broadcast and visual media communications as you prepare for your career as a communication professional. Present your research and course projects in the department’s Research & Creative Activity Showcase and/or at local, state or regional conferences.
