Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences

Academic courses taken either as part of your associate degree or independent of it may apply toward ASU’s core curriculum requirements. You should be aware that some majors specify particular courses to meet the 42-credit-hour Texas core curriculum requirement.

Associate degrees from Texas community colleges include at least 9-15 credit hours of academic coursework that may be counted toward ASU’s core curriculum requirements. However, transferring fewer than 12 credit hours of academic coursework may require you to extend your bachelor’s degree beyond 120 hours.
